Bio
Chris Adema grew up in the small town of New Era, Michigan, near the shores of Lake Michigan. For elementary and Jr. high school, Chris attended New Era Christian School as 1 of only 4 students in his class.
For high school, Chris moved to a larger class and a much larger town; he attended Western Michigan Christian High School in Muskegon, Michigan. During his time at WMC, Chris was a member of SADD, Student Council, National Honors Society, and the basketball team. Some of the jobs Chris held during high school include construction, camp maintenance, and founding his first small business cleaning yachts in the local marinas.
Following high school, Chris attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There he earned a BA in Business / Marketing with a minor in Spanish. During college, Chris also spent a formative semester studying in Seville, Spain and an interim period in Costa Rica. For work Chris was employed as a mortgage broker and in retail at a local furniture store.
Shortly after graduating from Calvin College, Chris moved to Colorado for a change of scenery and to pursue a variety of outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, and rock climbing. After relocating, Chris gained employment at Blizzard Internet Marketing in Glenwood Springs. During his 4 years with Blizzard he held positions as Promotion Account Manager, SEO team member, R and D team member, and Copywriting Team Leader. During this time Chris discovered a unique and growing nitch to utilize his marketing degree and an interest in writing, design, and photography.
In 2009, Chris left Blizzard and established Jupiter Tree Marketing. Also in 2009, Chris returned to school at Colorado Mountain College in the Roaring Fork Valley.
In 2011, he completed two programs at CMC earning certificates of proficiency in both web design and graphic design. Upon graduating, Chris moved from Colorado, returning home to Michigan after 6 years away. At this time Jupiter Tree Marketing was rebranded as Keyhole Promotion in order to more specifically focus on acquiring and serving travel and hospitality clients.
In 2012, Chris moved to the Charlotte, North Carolina area where he currently resides.
